One of the
things I am asked most often is how to make a picture of your desktop or your
webpage. This is called "making a screen shot," and here's how
to do it.

Above is a
screen shot of my desktop. Here are the steps for making your own:
1) Hit the
"Print Screen" button located at the upper right hand of your
keyboard. This is the button just to the right of the one labeled F12.
Don't worry- nothing happens right away when you do this. You did it
right, even if you hit it once and you didn't see any result.
2) Open up
your Paint or PSP program. For Paint, go to "Start",
"Programs," then "Accessories," then "Paint."
When you are in Paint, go to "Edit" then "Paste." Your
screenshot will appear on the paint screen. For PSP, open up the program,
then go to "Edit" and "Paste ad New Image". Your
screen will appear.
3) You've
actually already made your graphic, but remember, you've made a life-size shot
of your screen. If you attempt to load this onto your page, it will be
HUGE and take six months to load. So right now, while the program is still
open, resize that puppy. I did mine 40% of the original, and you can
experiment yourself with the right size. Just make sure the "maintain
aspect ratio" is also clicked.
That's all
there is to it!
